Patners Beneficiaries Lauds SEP-M Intiatives

Partners, Beneficiaries, lauds BAF for SEP-M Initiative

Partner organizations and project beneficiaries of the Subject Enhancement Programme in Mathematics have commended the Bunmi Adedayo Foundation for the education intervention programme, describing it a transformative programme needed across the nation.

The CEO of Nurture House Consulting, Mrs. Ayopeju Njideaka described the project as a timely one and commended the Foundation for remaining committed to teacher development and school leadership improvement in primary education in Nigeria.

“SEP-M was borne out of the need to empower teachers to raise Mathematical thinkers and as a result produce student who perform well in Math exams. It was based on research, and we are optimistic that this would improve the teaching practice of the beneficiaries who in turn teach Math the right way to hundreds of learners that pass through them,” the technical consultant explained.

Earlier, Mrs. Patricia Idiaghe, the Head of School, Home Science Association School, noted that it is difficult to find qualified Math teachers with excellent subject competence and pedagogy in Nigeria. She asserted that this project would really transform the approach Math is taught and in the long run, impact the children. She urged the beneficiaries to take advantage of the opportunity.

One of the beneficiaries, OdugbesiTemiladeSerah from Voltage Heritage School said “a big thanks to BAF. It’s as if I was rebuilt or transformed. Today I learnt the use of games as one of the tools in a play way of solving Maths, the use of number sense to help the pupils to have the feeling of what they are doing whether it’s right or wrong, the six excerpt from Gray’s effective mental Maths strategies. I enjoyed every of the steps used in each of the strategy. Most of all, the lines for graph multiplication in tip and trick strategy. In the long, run I’m going to practice every of these strategies in my teaching.”

Another beneficiary, Awotanmi Abiodun Agboola, Barachel Primary School has this to say “I'm so glad I made it again today to be a beneficiary of BAF unconditional love to impact true and costly knowledge, for a poor and uncivilized primary school teacher like me😭. If not for this opportunity, I would have been in the same categories with my colleagues at work.Once again I'm very grateful for this opportunity to be greatly enriched without having to pay a dime.”

Furthermore, Akinwande Blessing, Monidam School said this about the training “ Today’s meeting really outsmart my imagination by the flexibility and simplicity of my wonderful Facilitator. She’s really done a huge surgery on my brain and I’m now fully alive mathematically. Thanks so much and God will keep on widening your intellectual horizon till infinity. Thanks to BAF for the privilege given, your goals will not diminish in Jesus name. With two modules to go, we are optimistic that every teacher who pass through this project would have been better equipped with the right skills to lead Math lessons effectively and prepare results.
